NATIONAL SCHOOLS SNOWSPORT WEEK 2017
SAVE THE DATE
Monday 24th – Sunday 30th April 2017

National Schools Snowsport Week is a campaign delivered by Snowsport England’s Youth Development Committee, which aims to increase school participation in snowsports and grow membership.

Following this year’s successful pilot (which saw a total of 21 Slopes across England, 149 schools and 1066 school children participate in the initiative) we are delighted to announce that National Schools Snowsport Week will be delivered again on Monday 24th – Sunday 30th April 2017.

We ask that Regions, Facilities and Clubs save this date now, and invite you to host a programme of taster events/activity during the 24th – 30th April to give school children an opportunity to experience a flavour of snowsports.

For some school children, it will be their first time on skis or a snowboard. For others, it could be an opportunity to try racing, freestyle or ski/snowboard cross. For all we hope it will be an enriching experience, which will help more young people to become more active and build positive attitudes towards sport and physical activity.

After the week, we recommend that schools are provided with the opportunity to develop their skills and continue participating through programmes on offer through their local facility or facility linked local club. For more information, please visit www.nssw.co.uk
